Quality
St. Joseph's Home Care (SJHC) is accredited by Accreditation Canada, an organization dedicated to raising the quality of health service organizations in Canada, which demonstrates our own steadfast commitment to quality care and the safety of our clients and employees.
SJHC was the first Home Care organization to voluntarily comply with Bill 46 – Excellent Care for All Act, 2010 (ECFAA), currently mandated for Ontario hospitals, monitoring quality reporting within these institutions. SJHC has made it a priority to implement a Quality Improvement Plan to establish quality priorities and measurable targets. On April 1, 2014, this Act applied to the Long -Term Care sector and Community Care Access Centres (now referred to as Home and Community Care Support Services).
We take our clients’ satisfaction with our service very seriously and conduct client satisfaction surveys throughout the year to help us monitor our current progress and identify areas for improvement.
SJHC values all feedback we receive from clients and families, positive and negative, and we have a process in place to address both compliments and complaints in a timely manner. Please follow the links on the menu to the left to learn more about our Quality Improvement Plan and processes.
