A commitment to meeting the needs of patients has earned St. Joseph's Health System (SJHS) a major leadership honour from a public sector awards program. 

On September 2^nd, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and St. Joseph’s Home Care welcomed Ontario’s Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, Dr. Eric Hoskins, who made a special announcement about expanding access to care in the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant (HNHB) Local Health Integration Network (LHIN).

The Annual Report to the Community is our opportunity to share some of the exciting work we have accomplished over the last year and share plans for the upcoming year. We highlight our work in collaboration with our St. Joseph’s Health System partners, our recognized expertise on palliative care in our Home Care Services division, and the Collaborative Care Model and the Transitional Beds Program at First Place, a part of the Transitional Community Wellness Program. HAMILTON – April 7 is designated National Family Caregiver Day to recognize and honour Canadians who care for family members and loved ones. Caregivers are family members, friends, neighbours or other significant people who take on a caring role to support someone with a diminishing physical ability, a debilitating cognitive condition or a chronic life-limiting illness.
