The 2023 Annual Report to the Community is now available!
St. Joseph’s Home Care initiated a pilot project to assess the impact of de-escalation training on healthcare workers' safety. The four-hour training, led by experienced facilitators, emphasized empathy and practical exercises. The session received positive feedback, enhancing crisis response confidence and safety culture. The project's success has led to plans for expanding similar training initiatives organization-wide to equip healthcare workers with essential skills for navigating challenging situations with compassion and resilience.
The Integrated Comprehensive Care Team at St. Joseph's Home Care received the St. Joseph's Miracle Worker nomination for their exceptional care and dedication, marking their first recognition in the Grateful Patient Program. They were awarded the St. Joseph's Miracle Worker Certificate during Nursing Week, symbolizing their commitment to compassionate care for patients and families.

The Integrated Comprehensive Care (ICC) Program has been successfully operating within St. Joseph’s Health System (SJHS) and Niagara Health (NH) since 2012 for Thoracic, Cardiovascular, Hip and Knee replacement surgery as well as patients with Chronic disease (COPD and CHF).
