Seniors Month is a time to celebrate and honour seniors, their knowledge, experience and the contributions they make every day in our community.
This year will mark the 32nd anniversary of Seniors’ Month in Ontario with events across the province celebrating and recognizing the contributions seniors make to our communities, promoting healthy living, and raising awareness of the supports available to seniors in their communities. With this year’s theme, “Seniors Making a Difference” the government aims to recognize the important role seniors play in communities across Ontario.
Every year the City of Hamilton coordinates special events geared to older adults to take place during the month of June, starting with a Seniors Month kick-off event today at Sarcoa Restaurant.
