Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Among a list of services SJHC provides, we are here to help address personal issues and help with any assistance staff members may need on a personal level. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is confidential counselling services for employees and their immediate families. EAP is designed to provide assistance for a wide range of personal struggles such as:
- Alcohol abuse
- Drug abuse
- Mental/emotional
- Spiritual stress

- Family conflicts
- Abuse/assault

SJHC believes that personal struggles such as these can have a profound impact on the lives of employees affected, their families, and their job performance.
EAP is available to all full time and part time staff following their completion of their probationary period. Eligible employees and their families are entitled to counselling services as agreed to by SJHC and the EAP service provider, up to five sessions per year.
